Full Job Description
- End clients team are the primary data stewards for the Investments Department. IDS connects data to investment analysis by overseeing all aspects of the data management life cycle.
- They work closely with investment programs to understand their business data and decision support requirements develop tools to extract valuable and timely information and continuously improve processes and systems to ensure high levels of data integrity and availability.
- The IDS team is seeking seasoned SQL development expertise to successfully assist with ongoing business initiatives.
Scope:
The Investment Decision Support team is seeking an experienced Senior ETL Developer with strong database programming and analytical skills to actively participate in the following scope of work:
Assist with overall ETL Support (development production support documentation) and other development efforts as needed. Activities may include:
Assist with overall ETL Support (development production support documentation) and other development efforts as needed. Activities may include:
- ETL Production Support Monitor and maintain existing ETL processes.
- Code Data Movement Provide support in the design development and implementation of ETL packages with SSIS.
- Development SQL Development support to include creation of stored procedures views etc.
- Performance Tuning Review existing SQL Queries Execution Plans Partitions and Index(s) to determine performance enhancements for long running queries.
- Data Manipulation Provide alternative options to existing data manipulation techniques. Examples would be converting Excel manipulation activities into SSIS packages that reduce process/cycle time of data preparation.
Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience:
- 12 years of experience in ETL SQL development (Required 12Years)
- Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (Required 12 Years)
- Experience writing technical documentation (requirements process maps etc.) (Required 12 Years)
- Excellent communicator and be able to produce clear and concise documentation (Required 12 Years)
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment Required 12 Years
- Demonstrated experience working independently with only high level guidance (Required 12 Years)
- Experience with data governance best practices/procedures (Highly desired 7 Years)
- Investment/financial market industry experience (Highly desired 7 Years)
