Title: Sr. Platform Engineer

Employment Type: Contract

Term: 9 Months

Location: Washington DC

Job Summary:

The Senior Platform Engineer is responsible for designing building and maintaining automation frameworks selfservice platforms and infrastructureascode (IaC) solutions that enable efficient and scalable IT operations. This role focuses on automation observability infrastructure optimization and DevOps practices ensuring high availability reliability and performance of enterprise IT services.

The Senior Platform Engineer will collaborate with Platform Operations Cloud Security and Development teams to create reusable platform solutions that improve service delivery and reduce manual operational burdens.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Technical Skills

Automation & IaC: Terraform Ansible Pulumi CloudFormation

Cloud Platforms: AWS Azure Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI ArgoCD

Observability & Monitoring: Prometheus Grafana ELK Stack Splunk

Scripting & Development: Python PowerShell Bash YAML JSON

Networking & Security: Zero Trust Firewalls Load Balancers API Gateways

Containerization & Orchestration: Kubernetes Docker Helm

Soft Skills

Strong problemsolving abilities and analytical thinking.
Ability to work in crossfunctional teams and collaborate effectively.
Excellent documentation skills for knowledge sharing and process standardization.
Ability to mentor junior engineers and advocate for best practices.

AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
ServiceNow Certification and Experience
