Calling all HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers in Thirsk!
We are currently seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a tramping role starting from Thirsk.
About the Role:
This role involves nationwide travel delivering goods across the UK while ensuring timely and professional service.
Drivers must be comfortable spending nights away from home and adhering to road safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Nationwide deliveries from Thirsk to various locations across the UK
Operating Commercial Vehicle Carriers / Flatbed trailers
Ensuring all loads are securely strapped and transported safely
Maintaining accurate logbooks and adhering to legal driving hours
Conducting vehicle checks and reporting any defects
Providing excellent customer service during deliveries
Requirements:
Valid HGV Class 1 (Category CE) Licence with no more than 6 points
No major traffic offences No DR DD TT99 or NI codes accepted
Uptodate CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
Minimum 1 year of HGV Class 1 driving experience
Previous tramping experience preferred
A strong understanding of UK road networks and compliance regulations
Willingness to work flexible hours and stay overnight nationwide
Compliance with legislation Maintaining an accurate record of break times according to WTD regulations (drivers hours highway regulations)
Work Schedule and Pay Rates:
Monday to Friday day tramping (sleeping in the vehicle overnight)
Variable Start Times
Hourly rate ranging from 15 to 17 with nightout allowances (paid separately)
