Job Description
Company Background:
A leading manufacturer of prefabricated modular data center solutions specialize in the data center and power systems industry. With R&D facilities in Shanghai and highend manufacturing plants in Shanghai and Malaysia it delivers innovative solutions for hyperscale data center projects globally. The company is located in Johor Bahru and the actual working location is subject to the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed engineering calculations and designs for M&E systems for data centers.
- Oversee the installation commissioning and testing of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ensure all systems meet design specifications quality standards and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors vendors and other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for the operation and maintenance of M&E systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
- Work closely with project managers and engineers to track progress identify issues and propose solutions.
- Ensure all documentation is maintained including design documents maintenance schedules and service reports.
- Collaborate in developing energyefficient and sustainable M&E systems tailored to data center needs.
- Support the ongoing operation of the data center by providing expertise in emergency and routine maintenance.
- Participate in the continuous improvement and upgrade of existing M&E infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 35 years of experience in M&E systems design installation and maintenance preferably in data centers or missioncritical environments.
- Strong understanding of HVAC electrical power systems fire detection and suppression and critical power solutions.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD and other engineering design software.
- Knowledge of local regulations codes and standards related to M&E systems.
- Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced teamoriented environment.
- Proficient in both written and spoken Mandarin essential for communication with Chinese institutions.
