Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customerfocused Field Technical Support Specialist to provide onsite startup commissioning and technical support for our lighting control systems. This role involves working closely with electrical contractors building owners and facility managers to ensure seamless system functionality integration and user training. The ideal candidate will have strong networking and controls expertise excellent problemsolving skills and a proactive approach to customer service and technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct project documentation reviews to ensure compliance with lighting control design specifications.
  • Oversee the commissioning process providing handson guidance to electrical contractors to ensure proper system installation and operation.
  • Provide technical support for all control components troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Assist with BAS/AV system integration addressing any technical challenges as needed.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert mentoring team members and providing technical training to internal staff.
  • Collaborate with building managers electrical contractors and integration technicians to resolve lighting control integration issues.
  • Update and maintain controlrelated design drawings and documentation for system handover.
  • Work closely with the engineering team and manufacturers to troubleshoot unresolved field issues and recommend product improvements.
  • Conduct training sessions for endusers both onsite and in classroom settings to ensure proper system operation and scheduling.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Vocational High School diploma or equivalent in Electrical Electronics HVAC or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical controls; Tridium Niagara certification preferred.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30 Certification required.
  • Licensing: Valid driver s license with a clean driving record.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Networking expertise with routers hubs LAN lines and related systems.
  • Strong understanding of BACnet and TCP/IP device integration on the Tridium Niagara platform.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work effectively in a teambased environment.
  • Proficiency in computer networking programmable logic software systems and documentation tools.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and meeting management software.
  • Ability to effectively use webbased resources for troubleshooting and support.

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel within the New England market to support projects and customer needs.
