Carpenter

Seeking a seasoned carpenter with extensive experience in commercial and industrial construction. The ideal candidate will have expertise in framing finishing and structural carpentry along with the ability to work with preengineered metal buildings and conventional construction materials. This role involves working on diverse projects such as medical offices warehouses fire stations and historic renovations.

Key Responsibilities

Framing & Structural Work: Construct and install walls floors roofs and partitions for various projects.

Finish Carpentry: Install doors windows trim cabinetry and other finishing elements.

Metal & Wood Construction: Work with both traditional wood and preengineered metal building components.

Blueprint Reading: Interpret and execute construction drawings blueprints and technical plans accurately.

Site Preparation & Installation: Measure cut and shape materials to required specifications using hand and power tools.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere to OSHA and company safety regulations while maintaining a clean and secure job site.

Collaboration: Work closely with project managers subcontractors and team members to ensure timely project completion.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience in commercial or industrial construction.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in using power tools hand tools and measuring instruments.

Blueprint Proficiency: Ability to read and follow construction blueprints and schematics.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials work at heights and perform physically demanding tasks.

ProblemSolving Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot and adapt to job site challenges.

Valid Drivers License: Required for travel to project sites in and around Henderson NC.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with VarcoPruden preengineered metal buildings.

Knowledge of historic renovation techniques.

Carpentry certification or technical training in construction.
