Job Description

Responsible for coordinating and documentation for inbound (international and domestic) freight; perform tracking and followup of shipments and claims under various modes of shipment (i.e. ocean freight air freight truck and small package) and perform related activities as required.

 

Principal Responsibilities

1. Coordinate inbound shipments based on priorities and receiving function workload.

2. Process inbound shipments providing ASNs confirming purchase orders verify open ASNs.

3. Resolve inbound issues issue CARs when necessary.

4. Update daily receiving KPI reports.

5. May assist outbound Traffic Coordinator and assist with wave releases.

6. Provide a daily inbound schedule for buyers/planners.

7. Assist Distribution Center Manager and Value Stream Managers with special projects


Qualifications :

 

Education:

  • Required: High school Diploma
  • Preferred: Associates or Bachelors Degree in business or related area preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum: 2 years business experience in Supply Chain or Logistics environment.
  • Preferred: Direct experience leading a major project or team.

Special Skills

  • Highly skilled with Microsoft programs.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively.
  • Working knowledge of US Import and Export Regulations Inco terms and dangerous goods shipping and receiving.
  • SAP and WMS knowledge is a plus.
  • Demonstrated professional demeanor along with a passionate proactive approach to servicing the customer.
  • Excellent interpersonal teamwork and oral/written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to pay attention to detail in addition to strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptive to internal processes and change delays or unexpected events.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fastpaced work environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure or tight deadline.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
