Job Description
- Skilled GCP Cloud Engineer with expertise in AlloyDB to design develop and operationalize cloudbased services.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture database management and a deep understanding of GCP services and AlloyDB for PostgreSQL.
- Design and implement scalable secure and reliable cloud solutions using GCP services.
- Develop and manage AlloyDB for PostgreSQL instances ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Automate deployment monitoring and maintenance processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Optimize database performance through tuning indexing and query optimization.
- Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and database services.
- Stay updated with the latest GCP and AlloyDB features and best practices.
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine Cloud Storage Cloud SQL and BigQuery.
- Expertise in AlloyDB for PostgreSQL including deployment configuration and performance tuning
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture principles and best practices
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python Bash or Terraform for automation is desired.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- GCP certification (e.g. Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer).
- Experience with other database technologies such as MySQL MongoDB or Cassandra.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of network security firewalls and VPNs.
