Job Description:
- Attention to detail is a must.
- This person performs data management of Outside Plant construction projects and receives and completes requests from boundary partners across the Country.
- Analyzes individual construction projects and assists with validating market specifics and all inhouse contract labor and material spend.
- Generates construction projects in various workflow tools and drives tasks to the appropriate teams.
- Works independently to ensure data integrity across multiple tools matches and is properly transferred to Oracle financial databases.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Updates and maintains Construction project databases and spreadsheets to ensure accuracy and timeliness of work.
- Creates capital project numbers for financial tracking based on approved construction naming standards.
- Support construction department with assigned tasks.
- Develops and maintains effective efficient naming conventions to data is retrieved quickly and as needed.
- Responds to incoming calls resolves requests and complaints in a timely manner and uses positive professional and effective communication to provide excellent customer service.
- Organizes workday to maximize productivity and uses efficient and effective time management skills.
- Builds effective and professional working relationships with coworkers and the corporate office outside vendors and contractors.
- Works closely with finance to ensure capital projects are opened and closed in a timely manner to support accurate budget forecasts and spending reports.
- Places assets in service updates asbuilt information and end date tasks upon completion of projects and ensures integrity of the CIP database.
- Ensures work meets all required regulations specifications and standards set forth by the company and government agencies.
- May enter data into computerized databases to track homes passed maintain serviceability information or node splits.
- Identifies variances to budget versus actuals on individual construction projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
- HS diploma GED or relevant work experience
- Requires proficiency of Microsoft Office products specifically Excel
- Excellent communication skills in all mediums to work effectively with teams throughout organization
Preferred:
- 1 or more year of experience preferred in related field (i.e. data entry record keeping and computer operation or customer service).
- Experience in telecommunications industry desired
- AS/AA or BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Business Engineering Electronics etc.)
- Six Sigma White Belt or greater Yellow Green Black
- Advanced Excel skills surrounding pivot tables advanced formulas and Macros
