Job Description
Role Overview
As a Civils Operative youll be a vital part of our team laying the groundwork for highspeed connectivity. This isnt just a job; its about shaping the future of communication. Youll be responsible for excavations repairs reinstatements and the installation of ducting chambers street cabinets and draw rope all essential components of our cuttingedge telecoms infrastructure. Working within the public highway and on customer premises youll use the latest client standard operating procedures and adhere to the highest safety and compliance standards. If youre a physically fit skilled individual who thrives in a fastpaced environment we want to hear from you! Freelance and contract positions are available.
What Youll Do:
Lay the Foundation: Install and repair network ducting for customer connections.
Keep Things Flowing: Clear blockages and reinstate the highway to industry standards meticulously recording all work with photos and detailed information using companyprovided devices.
Master the Tools: Become proficient in using essential equipment like Stihl Saws Wacker plates and trench compactors (proper certification required).
Connect the Dots: Install draw rope and drop cable to customer connection points after duct work is complete.
Stay Organised: Complete all necessary paperwork including job sheets risk assessments plant sheets and van sheets.
Safety First: Demonstrate experience in risk assessment and hazard identification maintaining a strong focus on health and safety.
Requirements
Physical Fitness: Youre in good physical shape and ready for the demands of the job.
Industry Experience: You have experience in a similar operational or engineering environment within the telecommunications industry.
Street Smarts: You possess confident skills in street works and hold industryrecognised qualifications.
Driving Skills: You have a full UK driver s license.
Essential Qualifications: You hold the following qualifications: NRSWA Unit 19 PIA (S7) SA002a.
Security Clearance: DBS/necessary security checks will be carried out.
