Role: OpenShift Engineer
Location: Concord CA
In this role you will support complex technology cloud initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve coding testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature.
- Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and manage to mitigate risk.
- Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively.
- Make decisions in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering and largescale technology solutions.
- Design optimize and document engineering aspects of the cloud platform.
- Understand industry best practices and new technologies influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
- Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost.
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts senior technology team and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.
- Work in a globally distributed team to provide innovative and robust cloudcentric solutions.
- Maintain system documentation and provide training and support to team on OpenShift best practices.

- Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5 years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience training military experience education.
- 5 years working with OpenShift/Kubernetes and have a proven track record of building complex infrastructure programmatically through automation and scripting.
- 5 years of experience in building deploying securing and managing OpenShift or Kubernetes across various environments.
- 5 years of experience with Linux operating systems and container orchestration.
- 3 years of experience with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible Terraform or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience with Agile CI/CD DevOps concepts including tools such as Jenkins GitLab or Tekton.
- 3 years of experience with monitoring logging observability tools (Splunk Grafana AppD New Relic Elastic Open Telemetry).
- 3 years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) and hybrid infrastructure setups.
- 3 years driving architectural discussions and serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for high visibility cloud initiatives to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment security cost effectiveness and high availability in the private cloud space.
- 3 years of experience with cloud methodologies (IaaS PaaS SaaS) automation orchestration trends and industryleading cloud vendor offerings.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with cloud security management or governance tools.
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280) or similar certification.
- Knowledge of service mesh load balancers DDI technologies.
- Knowledge of networking security and storage concepts as they releate to containerized environments.
- Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and business audiences.
- Ability to deliver and engage with partners effectively in a multicultural environment by demonstrating coownership and accountability in a matrix structure.
- Delivery focus and willingness to work in a fastpaced enterprise environment.
- Experienced in implementing risk and control requirements for cloud infrastructure.
