Responsibilities:
- Write modify and debug PLC code on existing machines.
- Write modify and debug various motion control programs.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment using available resources and knowledge to resolve problems.
- Recommend changes such as new equipment or modified procedures to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct detailed inventories and inspections to determine necessary maintenance and repairs.
- Assist in planning and coordinating team efforts.
- Often work nonstandard schedules at field locations with exposure to varying environmental conditions.
- Specify system components or products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
- Train and support Field Service Engineers and Field Service Technicians
- Adhere to all workplace safety laws regulations standards and practices.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve automation products.
- Typical work schedule will be at customer sites in local area 50% nonlocal (US & international) 15% and 35% at the local Office/Remote.
Required Education and Experience:
- BA/BS degree in engineering or related discipline (BSEE degree preferred)
- 5 years of experience in the automation industry
- Programming Logic Controllers (PLC) (e.g. AllenBradley Siemens)
- Configuring and designing HMI/OIT systems (e.g. Allen Bradley National Instruments Maple Systems)
- Familiar with Industry Standards UL and CE
- Familiar with Vision Systems (e.g. Cognex Keyence)
- Familiar with various Motion Controllers/Actuators (e.g. IAI Yasakawa)
- Experience and skill in troubleshooting control system issues
- Can read technical documentation and prints.

40 hour work week
