Responsibilities:

  • Write modify and debug PLC code on existing machines.
  • Write modify and debug various motion control programs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment using available resources and knowledge to resolve problems.
  • Recommend changes such as new equipment or modified procedures to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct detailed inventories and inspections to determine necessary maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating team efforts.
  • Often work nonstandard schedules at field locations with exposure to varying environmental conditions.
  • Specify system components or products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Train and support Field Service Engineers and Field Service Technicians
  • Adhere to all workplace safety laws regulations standards and practices.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve automation products.
  • Typical work schedule will be at customer sites in local area 50% nonlocal (US & international) 15% and 35% at the local Office/Remote.

Required Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in engineering or related discipline (BSEE degree preferred)
  • 5 years of experience in the automation industry
  • Programming Logic Controllers (PLC) (e.g. AllenBradley Siemens)
  • Configuring and designing HMI/OIT systems (e.g. Allen Bradley National Instruments Maple Systems)
  • Familiar with Industry Standards UL and CE
  • Familiar with Vision Systems (e.g. Cognex Keyence)
  • Familiar with various Motion Controllers/Actuators (e.g. IAI Yasakawa)
  • Experience and skill in troubleshooting control system issues
  • Can read technical documentation and prints.

Schedule:

40 hour work week

MondayFriday

Work Location: In person
