Work location: 11214 El Camino Real San Diego CA 92130.
Shift hours 8 hour shifts. Come in before 9am but not before 6am. During initial training start time will need to be flexible for training purposes.
Pay rate $28/hr
BG must be cleared prior to starting
Assignment is 6 months cannot guarantee longer

Must haves on the resume: 1) ELISA or CBA experience. 2) 2 years lab experience (can be combo school and industry).
Education BS/BA/MS in a related scientific discipline or some science related college coursework.
The QC Associate I is responsible for routine accurate and timely testing of QC samples according to standard protocols and operating procedures such as ELISA or CBA related protocols. The QC Associate will prioritize daily workload and work independently. They will participate in the review of data reporting results and efficiently complete all required documentation and database entries. They will receive specific instructions and ongoing guidance regarding required tasks and expected results.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Train to become proficient in routine QC techniques operation of relevant equipment and software packages associated with testing data analysis and data reporting.
Tasks will require working with human blood human or mammalian cell culture and/or animals and animal tissues.
Routine accurate and timely completion of all assigned QC tests.
Prioritize daily workload and adjust priorities based on business needs.
Analyze data and report test results including completion of all required documentation and database entries as required by QC protocols or operating procedures.
Calibrate and maintain equipment. Report problems to QC Supervisor or Manager and participate in troubleshooting equipment issues.
Maintain logs and required documentation as necessary.
Prepare lab supplies reagents and assist with laboratory maintenance as needed.
Promote a safe work environment. May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment.
Participate in Environmental Health & Safety programs.
Address corrective actions whenever a hazard is identified.
Notify supervisor and Safety Officer(s) of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices.
Keep abreast of the basic requirements for safety compliance in own area of work and complies with those requirements.
Participate in group or intradepartment teams and projects as required.
Participate in assigned crosstraining.
Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BS/BA/MS in a related scientific discipline or some science related college coursework.
Minimum of 2 years related experience in an industrial or research laboratory or equivalent; QC environment preferred.
Knowledge and experience with ELISA or CBA required; Western Blot Flow Cytometry and Cell/Tissue culture highly preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Intermediate computer skills: MS Windows word processing experience with database and information management systems.
Knowledge of general laboratory safety.
Effective interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to follow established policies/procedures and ability to keep neat accurate and complete records and logs.
Effective analytical and problemsolving skills.
