Title: Sr. Platform Engineer
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary:
The Senior Platform Engineer is responsible for designing building and maintaining automation frameworks selfservice platforms and infrastructureascode (IaC) solutions that enable efficient and scalable IT operations. This role focuses on automation observability infrastructure optimization and DevOps practices ensuring high availability reliability and performance of enterprise IT services.
The Senior Platform Engineer will collaborate with Platform Operations Cloud Security and Development teams to create reusable platform solutions that improve service delivery and reduce manual operational burdens.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Platform Development & Automation
- Design develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform Ansible or Pulumi.
- Automate provisioning configuration management and deployments for cloud and onpremises environments.
- Develop selfservice provisioning frameworks for compute storage and networking resources.
- Establish automation pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments (CI/CD).
2. Reliability Observability & Performance Optimization
- Implement SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) best practices to enhance system reliability and uptime.
- Develop observability solutions using Prometheus Grafana Splunk or ELK Stack.
- Optimize platform performance autoscaling mechanisms and cloud resource utilization.
3. CrossTeam Collaboration & Integration
- Work closely with Platform Operations Cloud Security and Development teams to align automation strategies.
- Integrate ServiceNow workflows with automated infrastructure provisioning and monitoring tools.
- Collaborate on API development for platform integrations and automationdriven workflows.
4. Security Compliance & Governance
- Ensure platform security by implementing rolebased access controls (RBAC) network policies and encryption mechanisms.
- Automate security compliance enforcement and cloud governance policies.
- Support vulnerability remediation efforts through automated patching and compliance scans.
5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Research emerging technologies to improve scalability resiliency and automation capabilities.
- Develop internal best practices and documentation for platform automation and service management.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in knowledgesharing initiatives.
