Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power BI Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data modelling semantic layer design and extensive experience in developing and deploying Power BI solutions. Experience with the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem is essential and familiarity with Tableau particularly any experience migrating from Tableau to Power BI is a significant advantage. You will play a key role in designing developing and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to our business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain complex Power BI dashboards and reports leveraging advanced features such as DAX Power Query and data modelling.
- Build and optimize data models within the Power BI semantic layer to ensure performance and scalability.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into effective visualizations and reports.
- Develop and implement data governance and security measures within Power BI.
- Administer Power BI workspaces and manage user access.
- Utilize the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem for data integration transformation and warehousing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues and data discrepancies.
- Stay uptodate with the latest Power BI features and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
- 5 years of proven experience as a Power BI Developer.
- Deep understanding of data modelling concepts and semantic layer design.
- Extensive experience with Power BI Desktop Power BI Service and DAX.
- Strong skills in data transformation and cleansing using Power Query.
- Handson experience with the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem (e.g. Data Factory Synapse Analytics Data Lake).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
Good to have:
- Experience with Tableau development and administration.
- Experience migrating dashboards and reports from Tableau to Power BI.
