Job Description
Job title: Engineering Technician 2
Location: Palo Alto CA 94304
Duration: 9 Months
Enter Shift Start and End Time: 7AM to 3:30PM

Description:
Reason for Hiring: New role.
Position Type: Must work Onsite.
Travel Required: No.
Experience Required: Minimum 01 years.
Urgency: ASAP.
Interview Process: Two interviews first with Hiring Manager (HM) screening second with HM and a panel of two other HMs.
Work Hours: Standard hours Saturday & Sunday 7 AM 3:30 PM.
MustHave Skills:
1. Ability to follow defined protocols.
2. Proficient with PC.
3. Proficient communication with team of Engineers and subject matter team members.
4. Strong documentation skills.
NicetoHave Skills:
Proficient with MS Office Excel Outlook.
Good record documentation.
Medical Linux radiation safety high voltage safety.
Additional Information:
Working in a control room with software machine Engineering technician.
Radiation safety high voltage safety.
Familiarity with medical linear accelerator is a plus.
Must be able to pass extensive safety training.
Radiation monitoring from the control room.
The Engineering Technician will operate radiation oncology machines following protocols and procedures for engineering tests. Additionally they will
Keep records of machine performance
Understand and recognize the need to escalate incidents when necessary and/or request additional assistance from more tenured representatives.
Develop and maintain strong relationships within the team using strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate needs to pass Radiation and High Voltage Safety Training that will be provided
Frequent use and application of technical documentation standards principles concepts and techniques in the field.
Uses acquired job skills and company policies to complete assigned tasks.
Sound knowledge of and professional technical experience with PC based systems
Minimum: HS Degree or Equivalent
Other Desired Skills and Knowledge:
Experience Level with Business Tools: Familiar with business tools such as Email Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
