Job Description
JOB TITLE: Data Analyst
The scope of the proposed services will include the following:
- Collect clean and analyze data to support business decisions and strategies;
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs);
- Develop exception reporting to help identify potential errors made by manual administrative responsibilities;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and provide actionable insights;
- Under the guidance of LDOE identify opportunities to augment internal tracking reporting and forecasting capabilities;
- Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes;
- Participate in team meetings and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:
- Two (2) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in:

- Data analysis and reporting;
- SQL and database management systems (e.g. PostgreSQL MySQL MSSQL);
- Data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI);
- Excel/Google Sheets advanced formulas;
- Proficiency in Python programming language;
- Strong understanding of statistical methods and techniques;
- Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to nontechnical stakeholders.
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and techniques;
- Understanding of data warehouse architecture and technologies;
- Familiarity with LDOE data systems and models.
