Principal F5 Engineer
Duration: 3 Month Contract to Hire
Location: HYBRID (Onsite twice a week in Atlanta)

Rate: $90 $95/W2
Job Description:
Norfolk Southern Corporation is seeking a skilled F5 Network Engineer responsible for supporting IP data and telecommunications network connectivity across its enterprise data center environments. This role focuses on leveraging expertise in F5 architecture and operation within complex enterprise networks. The candidate will principally manage F5 networks with additional responsibility over Cisco WAN/LAN Infoblox IP Address Management (IPAM) and Palo Alto firewalls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect deploy and optimize F5 BIGIP solutions (LTM GTM/DNS APM/AFM).
- Drive automation with iControl REST API Ansible or Terraform.
- Lead migrations to BIGIP Next and RSeries platforms.
- Integrate F5 technologies into CI/CD pipelines to enhance DevOps workflows.
- Manage enterprise VCMP and tenant environments for high availability. Collaborate on projects with Cisco Nexus Infoblox IPAM and Palo Alto firewalls.
Requirements:
- 10 years F5 experience with deep expertise in iRules iApps and GTM/DNS.
- Automation and scripting proficiency (Python Bash).
- Advanced networking knowledge (BGP OSPF VLANs).
- Handson experience with cloud networking and data center solutions.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Cisco ACI and hybrid cloud integrations.
- F5 certifications (CTSLTM CSE) are a plus
