Job Description

The Market Developer Manager (MDM) in Retail is responsible for driving the strategic direction development and execution of retail channel initiatives at the regional level ensuring alignment with corporate distribution objectives. This role requires a dynamic leader who can foster innovation enhance profitability and support countryspecific needs while promoting sustainability and omnichannel approaches. The main responsibilities are:

  •  Retail Channel Strategy Development: Define and implement the regional retail channel strategy in collaboration with Corporate Distribution ensuring alignment with market trends and business goals. Drive the growth of key retail channels including Hardware Stores and Pure Internet Players  (PIP).
  •  Support to Focus Countries: Provide guidance and support to priority countries and areas to enhance channel performance and address specific needs.
  • Innovation and Sustainability: Integrate innovation and sustainability into the retail channel strategy to meet corporate goals and customer expectations.
  • Omnichannel Approach: Develop an omnichannel strategy to improve the customer journey by seamlessly integrating online and offline experiences.
  • Key Account (KA) Development: Work with the KA team to strengthen relationships and align trade channel initiatives with key account objectives.
  • Sales and Profitability Monitoring: Track sales performance and profitability ensuring targets are met while identifying areas for improvement.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in channel strategy development and management at a regional or global level with strong expertise in retail channel dynamics including home centers hardware stores and professional partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation implement sustainable practices and deliver exceptional customer experiences. 
  • Experience in collaborating with Key Account teams and achieving sales/profitability targets with Excellent analytical communication and leadership skills.
