Job Description
This role will have a starting salary of 18810
This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.
UKAEAs Apprenticeship Scheme will allow you to gain the technical knowledge practical experience and wider skills and behaviours needed for your immediate job role and future career. The successful apprentice will gain this through the combination of formal offthejob training and the opportunity to apply these skills in a real work environment through onthejob training.
The Role

As a Finance Apprentice you will play a pivotal role in Providing support to both finance teams(Financial Accounting & Management Accounting) performing a range of tasks at the financial month end and at year end for the Annual Accounts and assisting with a range of financial audits including the audit of the Annual Accounts by the National Audit Office.
You will learn about UKAEAs finance system and financial processes and gain handson experience (for example inputting journals and timesheet amendments) before moving on to projects of greater depth.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Complete national academic qualification as defined by the apprenticeship training standard: Accounts or finance assistant / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education
- Attend designated training provider develop and attain a good knowledge of technical skills.
- Represent the UKAEA Organisation and attend external outreach and careers events.
Qualifications :
- 5 GCSES A*C (94) including Maths and English.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate an interest and aptitude for chosen area of work.
