Key Responsibilities:
Repair and reupholster furniture and other items on board the cruise ships
Inspect and identify any damages or wear and tear on furniture and other items
Measure and cut fabric to fit furniture and other items
Sew and attach fabric to furniture and other items using various techniques and tools
Replace worn out padding and foam on furniture and other items
Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and in a timely manner
Maintain inventory of fabrics tools and supplies
Work closely with other crew members and departments to coordinate repairs and maintenance
Adhere to safety and environmental regulations at all times
Keep work area clean and organized
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Upholsterer preferably in a marine or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques and materials
Ability to work with various fabrics and materials including leather and vinyl
Proficient in using hand and power tools
Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to work at sea for extended periods of time
