Job Description
Work manufacturing stations to build product using shop packets drawings shipping orders and standard or verbal instructions. Work alongside other assemblers to train and assist.
- Assists with various duties in the warehouse.
- Assemble visually inspect test and package standard seals or subassemblies.
- Work any station on assembly machines to partially or completely build product as required.
- Prepares assemblies for painting by stripping cleaning and taping. Paints as required by the job order.
- Fastens parts together with bolts screws speed clips rivets or other fasteners.
- Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and sers to produce close fit between parts.
- Operates drill presses punch presses or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation.
- May be required to perform more complex assembly of product.
- Installs gages as required.
- Bends and installs tubing as required.
- Disassembles pressure vessels and other products as required for salvage of parts.
- May run packaging or film packaging equipment as necessary.
- Make inventory reports when required.
- Receives approval from Quality Control section prior to shipping.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two months related experience and/or training plus 1 to 3 years onthejob training
