Job Description
Education and Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 year Technical Degree
- 4 15 years of experience with design/specification of electrical power systems and equipment.
- Experience participating in multidiscipline (i.e. mechanical electrical instrumentation/controls HVAC piping welding etc.) design efforts and producing electrical packages including electrical drawings specifications calculations etc.
- Strong understanding of CAD modeling software and drawings such as AutoCAD Revit or similar design software.
- Experience with applicable national standards (i.e. NFPA 70 National Electrical Code (NEC) American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) IEEE NEMA and other industry codes and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a project team environment and communicate well with other disciplines customers and stakeholders. IE Group is a hybrid workforce and collaborative use of communication tools is necessary.
- Ability to perform work duties to defined project schedules.
- Successful drug screening.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge if needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Design experience with custom industrial equipment and process skids on government projects.
- Experience performing lightning protection design.
- Experience utilizing ETAP Power Systems Analysis EasyPower and/or SKM for power system modeling.
