Job Description
Starting Hourly: $15.00 per hour
Smith Therapy Partners has been the premier provider for outpatient orthopedics serving Las Vegas Henderson and surrounding communities for over 20 years. We are known for providing the highest quality care for our patients and our team of highly skilled physical therapists who are honored and delighted to help patients reach their goals.
Currently we are looking for a full time Scheduling Specialist for our W Alta location in Las Vegas.
Schedule needed: Monday Friday 8:30am 5:00pm or Monday Friday 9:00am 5:00pm
*Bilingual in English & Spanish is required
Answering Inbound new patient calls and placing Outbound new patient calls from faxed referrals.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Analysis of incoming referrals to place calls and perform accurate data entry into our EMR.
- Understanding of Insurance benefits and authorizations for obtaining prior to scheduling if required
- Collaboration Communication Skills Interpersonal Skills Technical and Scheduling skills to assist patients with appointment time and date for Initial Evaluation and the 5 following visits.
- Thorough knowledge of problemsolving methodologies.
- Ability to organize and prioritize various demands.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Action oriented and driven for results.
- A selfstarter and to work with minimal direction.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate complex information in a well thoughtout easily understood manner both orally and in writing in a variety of settings and styles.

Education: minimum high school diploma college a plus but not mandatory if meeting experience requirements
Experience: at least two years of relevant work experience and the skills necessary for the position
Language: Bilingual / Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Requires prolonged standing sitting some bending stooping and stretching. Requires eyehand coordination and manual dexterity enough to operate a keyboard mouse photocopier telephone calculator and other office equipment.
