Job Description: Chef de Partie
Join the exceptional culinary team at the Hotel and Inn located on the stunning shores of Devon. We are seeking a dedicated Chef de Partie to contribute to our renowned dining experience in a beautiful historic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook highquality dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in menu planning and developing new recipes that reflect the restaurant’s style and seasonal ingredients.
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of hygiene and food safety regulations.
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff fostering a collaborative and efficient kitchen environment.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies keeping track of inventory and minimizing waste.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations adhering to health and safety standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving kitchen operations and guest experiences.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for culinary excellence and a desire to continuously learn and develop skills.
Desired Experience:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a reputable hotel or restaurant.
- Experience in fine dining establishments is an advantage.
- Knowledge of menu design and food presentation techniques.
