The Applications Developer will provide technical expertise and support to the New York City Department of Probation in the software development and maintenance. This individual will work closely with other members of application development team.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks
Conduct software testing to ensure quality and functionality
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop technical solutions that meet client requirements
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers
Continuously learn and stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends
Write clean maintainable and scalable code
Troubleshoot and debug software applications as needed.

Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science information systems engineering mathematics or related field and six years of satisfactory fulltime experience related to enterprise architecture solutions architecture network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems; or
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and ten years of satisfactory fulltime experience related to enterprise architecture solutions architecture network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 or 2 above.
