Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist for a fully remote role with flexible start times between 7 am to 8 am (8hour shifts). This position will transition to fulltime employment after six months based on performance. Candidates can work from any time zone and should be prepared for potential overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payrolls regularly and prepare accurate payroll reports.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of employee timesheets.
Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve related issues promptly.
Support payroll audits and ensure compliance with payroll tax deposits for federal and state authorities.
Communicate relevant tax legislation and internal processes where applicable.
Assist with payroll report reconciliations.
Research and prioritize payroll tax notices with the Payroll Tax Analyst.
Manage incoming payrollrelated mail and take appropriate action.
Monitor and update state and local tax accounts for all business entities.
Requirements:
35 years of payroll experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Teams and Workday.
Familiarity with U.S. Canadian and Puerto Rican tax regulations is highly preferred.
Minimum of a 2year degree.
Solid knowledge of federal and multistate tax regulatory requirements.
Ability to work closely with the Senior Tax Analyst (approximately 90% of the time).

Reporting to the manager in EST.
The interview process consists of two steps: an initial interview with the Hiring Manager followed by a second interview with the Senior Tax Analyst and HR.
