Job Description
ZF LIFETEC is one of the worlds leading suppliers of passive safety systems. As Simi GmbH a global innovation leader for motion capture software and complete systems for recording and analysing human movements and a subsidiary of ZF LIFETEC we contribute our experience with camerabased systems to the development of solutions for vehicle interior monitoring. Together with our colleagues at ZF LIFETEC we are working on adaptive restraint systems.
Tasks
As the IT Administrator you will be the backbone of our IT operations. You will take full responsibility for managing maintaining and improving our entire IT infrastructure. Your role will be critical in ensuring our development team has the tools and systems they need to innovate and excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Management: Design implement monitor and troubleshoot a secure and reliable network infrastructure including LAN/WAN firewalls VPNs and wireless systems.
- Storage Solutions: Manage data storage systems onpremises ensuring high availability scalability and backup/recovery processes.
- IT Security: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect against cyber threats including firewalls antivirus software intrusion detection systems and regular security audits.
- Software & Tools: Oversee the installation configuration and maintenance of software tools required by the development team (e.g. collaboration tools CI/CD pipelines).
- Hardware Management: Ensure all hardware (servers workstations networking equipment) is uptodate and functioning optimally.
- User Support: Provide technical support to the development team and other staff as needed.
- Documentation & Policies: Maintain detailed documentation of the IT environment and enforce best practices for IT policies.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with our corporate parent and external vendors for procurement licensing and support services.
- IT Integration: Lead the integration of our infrastructure into the one of our corporate parent.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is not just technically proficient but also proactive and solutionoriented.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as an IT Administrator or similar role with experience in HPC technologies and responsibility for endtoend IT infrastructure.
- Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP) Kerberos firewalls VPNs and routing/switching technologies.
- Expertise in managing storage solutions (NAS/Cloud).
- Handson experience with cybersecurity tools and best practices (firewalls endpoint protection) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Linux/BSD/Windows server environments.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (Proxmox VMWare) or containerization (e.g. Docker).
- Experience supporting developer tools such as Git repositories CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
