Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. SCIENTIST – Hair Care (MEAI) to join our Personal Care team at our Vikhroli Mumbai. This is a very visible significant role within the Company and the Life Sciences function. This position will report to Head R&D PC (MEAI)

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. SCIENTIST – Hair Care (MEAI) to join our Personal Care team at our Vikhroli Mumbai. This is a very visible significant role within the Company and the Life Sciences function. This position will report to Head R&D PC (MEAI)
The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- Experience range: 7Yrs. 10 Yrs.
- The employee performs all of the companies formulation development of Hair Care range of personal care products (Shampoo Conditioners masks serums etc.) with various dosage forms Pastes Gels Liquids Creams and Aerosols in a fullfunctioning capacity.
- Considerable Independent Judgement is used to make decisions in carrying out assignments that have significant impact on services or programs.
- Guidelines may be available but require adaptation or interpretation to determine appropriate courses of action.
- Research and determine work plan for development process for each project
- Set budget and timelines for development activity
- Ensure full compliance of current expectation of regulatory bodies
- Ensure full communication of project tasks and timelines
- Provide technical support to analytical team throughout the project life
- Provide technical support to sales team / distributers / customer throughout the project life
- To ensure timely generation of process validation documentation for regulatory submission
- Conduct regular project team meetings
- Knowledge of product development techniques equipments and supplies.
- Knowledge of technology transfer techniques equipments and supplies
- Knowledge of state and federal laws regulations standards and advisory guidelines related to Personal Care raw materials and finished products processing handling storage and sale.
- Knowledge of the sources of technical literature in the field of Personal Care products.
- Maintains records and prepares reports and correspondence related to the work.
- Knowledge of laboratory tests used in analytical microbiology as well as consumer evaluation work.
- Ability to handle sophisticated instruments.
- Ability to maintain favorable public relations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to assemble and prepare scientific data with clarity and accuracy.
- Ability to organize and coordinate the work of others.
- Ability to set priorities and assign work to other professionals.
- Conduct all work in GMP environment and adhere to all established procedures
- Wherever necessary generate GMP documentation inclusive of SOP’s technical report and process development reports
- Undertake own career development to ensure continuing growth of development activities within the business
- Actively contribute to the organizational goals by taking initiative executing on goals and focusing on performance and safety
- Improve the organization capacity and capabilities through building collaborative relationships optimizing diverse talent and utilizing positive communications and influence with others
