The Live Data Services team is the heart of our live data ecosystem gathering all the events for more than 30 sports and providing them to our clients.
THE CHALLANGE:
As a Senior JAVA Developer in our Live Data Integrations team we expect that you are passionate about your craft and already have a good understanding of modern development techniques. We expect that you value simplicity clean code and clean architecture you practice TDD (Test Driven Development) pair programming and always welcome feedback.
You will be an integrated and important part of the team you are assigned to. We will give you the necessary introduction to get you familiar with our systems and processes but also expect you to have the necessary experience to be familiar with the way we work. We would like that you take a strong position within the team and be an advocate for good development practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop test build and deploy new applications or enhancements to existing applications
- Work with other technical staff to understand problems develop specifications and resolve them
- Take part in the constant challenge to create a maintainable welldesigned architecture that stands up to the future
- Apply best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
ABOUT YOU:
- Extensive experience developing backend solutions in Java
- Ability to write a clean wellcrafted and tested code (XP TDD)
- Experience with Spring Framework
- Experience with event streaming (Kafka RabbitMQ ActiveMQ)
- Strong experience in SQL especially MySQL but also NoSQL
- Strong experience with cloudbased applications and microservices (AWS Gitlab CI)
- Agile mindset (focus on delivering working software collaboration and improvement)
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly selfmotivated and selfdriven
- Team player able to work with new teams
- Flexible to adapt to changing priorities and able to work with tight deadlines
- Committed to upholding the highest professional work standards and ethics

OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS:
- Initial Screening: A brief conversation with our Talent Acquisition Partner to review your background experience and expectations
- Technical Task: A takehome coding assignment designed to reflect our daily work completed at your convenience
- Technical Interview (90 minutes): An indepth discussion on your submitted coding task including a review of your thought process live coding exercises and a system design conceptual discussion
- Cultural Fit Interview (30 minutes): A conversation with Senior Management to assess your ability to work in a matrix organization and collaborate with stakeholders
We keep it simple and aim to wrap up the process within 3 weeks.
