Job Description
Overview:
We are looking for a Purchase Engineer with an electrical/electronics background to manage procurement activities for the projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing negotiating and purchasing materials components and equipment necessary for firefighting and robotics systems. Experience in purchasing electrical/electronic components as well as knowledge of supply chain processes is essential.
Job Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase electrical electronic and mechanical components required for projects ensuring quality and costeffectiveness.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms pricing and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with project engineers and teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
- Maintain and update inventory records to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Track and manage purchase orders ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any issues related to procurement or product quality.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing ideally for electrical or electronic components.
- Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of the supply chain process.
- Ability to read technical specifications and understand engineering requirements.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement management software is a plus.
