What you will be doing: Clinical Nurse Specialist Critical Care
- Practice as an expert clinician in a specialty area.
- Provide expertise in teaching mentoring consulting and research.
- Implement improvements in health care delivery systems.
- Influence outcomes by providing expert consultation to all care providers.
Experience you will need: Clinical Nurse Specialist Critical Care
- Masters Degree from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC) or a Ph.D. from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by the same organizations or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or currently enrolled in a Masters DNP or Ph.D. clinical nurse specialist program accredited by CCNE or NLNAC.
- Equivalent coursework and experience will be considered (e.g. Masters in nursing or Doctoral degree in Nursing not majoring in the CNS role such as Nursing Administration or Nursing Education).
- Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS American Heart Association certification upon hire.
- 3 years of registered nursing experience in the area of specialty.
- Current certification as a CNS upon hire (preferred).
- Current certification in the area of specialty upon hire (preferred).
- 2 years of clinical leadership responsibility (preferred).
