Job Description
What you will be doing: Injection Molding Press Technician (Day Shift)
Support the Molding Business Unit s primary objectives.
Identify problems and implement corrective action plans to resolve gaps in achieving goals.
Focus on molding press repairs and maintenance.
Maintain knowledge of established safety standards and operational requirements.
Assist technical resources with solving issues and maintaining molding presses.
Enhance process efficiency and conduct press preventive maintenance.
Understand the role of a Diagnostic Technician in a molding environment.
Gain knowledge in the injection molding process across mold and press technologies.
Develop a firm understanding of all equipment including setup process/press adjustment and assessment of root cause and corrective actions.
Take daily direction from the Molding Process Engineer and Senior Mold Diagnostic Technician.
Direct and assist support personnel such as mold setters and technicians in process modifications and equipment adjustments.
Provide technical diagnostic direction to press vendors and technician resources as needed.
Experience you will need: Injection Molding Press Technician (Day Shift)
A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a molding environment.
Molding Processing Certification (RJG Essential/Master Molder I or comparable training).
Proven capability to learn and understand complex moldingrelated concepts and principles.
Experience in mold press maintenance and problemsolving.
Experience with hydraulic and servocontrolled systems.
Knowledge of mold temperature controller programming troubleshooting and maintenance.
Working knowledge of material feed systems from silo through hopper.
Ability to work rotating 12hour shifts (7AM 7PM).
Preferred: Training at a major molding press manufacturer for maintenance and repair.
