Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Manager (RN)
Location: Chicago Illinois
Employment Type: FullTime

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to take on the role of Assistant Manager. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities exceptional nursing expertise and a commitment to delivering highquality patient care. This position requires a dynamic individual with the ability to manage nursing staff and collaborate effectively across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff ensuring smooth daytoday operations.
  • Oversee patient care ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to enhance the quality of care and implement process improvements.
  • Act as a mentor and resource for staff nurses offering support in clinical decisionmaking.
  • Manage staffing schedules ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Step into the role of Charge Nurse when required taking responsibility for the management of patient care on assigned units.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited nursing school.
  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Illinois.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • A minimum of five years of nursing experience including at least one year in a Charge Nurse capacity.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours based on operational needs.
