Job Description
Job Title: Assistant Manager (RN)
Location: Chicago Illinois
Employment Type: FullTime
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to take on the role of Assistant Manager. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities exceptional nursing expertise and a commitment to delivering highquality patient care. This position requires a dynamic individual with the ability to manage nursing staff and collaborate effectively across various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff ensuring smooth daytoday operations.
- Oversee patient care ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to enhance the quality of care and implement process improvements.
- Act as a mentor and resource for staff nurses offering support in clinical decisionmaking.
- Manage staffing schedules ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Step into the role of Charge Nurse when required taking responsibility for the management of patient care on assigned units.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited nursing school.
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Illinois.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- A minimum of five years of nursing experience including at least one year in a Charge Nurse capacity.
- Flexibility to work varied hours based on operational needs.
