HSE Advisor - Hybrid

The Health Safety and Environment HSE Advisor is critical to supporting and managing health and safety within the organization. As a strategic member of the team the HSE Advisor will guide managers and employees in making informed choices concerning health and safety in engineering projects. This role will be primarily based out of our offices in Vancouver and could travelling between various locations up to 30% of the time. 

Primary Responsibilities 

• Promoting the firms HSE culture
• Providing onsite support to employees and managers
• Supporting the risk assessment process and developing safe work procedures
• Leading investigations following incidents
• Supporting the COR audit process
• Assist in continuous improvement of the CIMA HSE management system
• Develop training programs and facilitate training sessions

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in HSE or the equivalent  
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the area of HSE 
• Experience on construction sites or industrial environment 
• Have a Certificate of Recognition (COR) and a valid drivers licence 
• Indepth knowledge of legislation and best industry practices in Western Canada 
• Strong communication ability (spoken and written)
• CRSP is an asset

The expected salary for this position is from $70000 to $85000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidates experience training skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
