You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailJob summary: Assist the special education teacher in the operation and function of the classroom and to work with individual or small groups of students as directed by and under the supervision of the special education teacher. The selected candidate may assist special education students in the general education classroom as well as the resource room setting.
This sixhour position may require most likley will require the selected candidate to assist students receiving special education services outside during recess in the lunchroom and also with needs in the restroom.
This position may include lifting of a student to a changing table or from a wheel chair to the floor. Two individuals will always work together to safely lift the student to meet his/her needs.
Park Brook is a school Focused on Fitness for the purpose of increasing academic achievement. While not a part of this position there may be opportunities to work with programs before or after school that are related to fitness. In addition to the fitness programs Park Brook does offer a variety of opportunities before school after school and on weekends (paid) that the selected candidate would be able to work. This is not a requirement of the position but an opportunity to expand the position some days if the candidate chooses to do so.
Park Brook Elementary has a fitness studio with the intention of providing additional fitness opportunities to assist students with regulating their bodies. The candidate selected for this position may assist students in this room.

Salary: View Classification II (2) salary grid on page 4 section 1 and page 5 Section 2 on Educational Support Professional contract
Work schedule: 6 hours/day; 30 hours/week The hours will be 6 hours between 8:50 a.m. 3:20 p.m.
