Job Description
The Procurement Manager at Topcon is responsible for overseeing the procurement process. Leading a small team of employees this role ensures the sourcing purchasing and supply chain management of highquality products that meet company standards. The manager will collaborate closely with vendors internal stakeholders and logistics teams to optimize purchasing strategies maintain inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of products.
We are looking for a Manager Procurement who has the following responsibilities and is capable to:
- Oversee activities related to the timely costeffective procurement and demand planning of materials equipment and services for Topcon to sell and/or own use;
- Develop policies and procedures implements and streamline them to reduce costs;
- Monitors and assure availability of materials in the supply chain and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels;
- Manage sourcing and supplying of materials utilities and services as well coordinating global procurement efforts;
- Review and plan requirements for acceptable inventory;
- Select develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function;
- Managing the Procurement department direct report to the Operational Director;
- Developing the procurement strategy the related procedures and facilitating the team;
- Relation management with the suppliers and the internal and other external stakeholders;
- Sourcing for (new) suppliers and products/services;
- Negotiating separate orders and contracts;
- Measuring supplier performance;
- Inventory strategy and parameters (e.g. defining order moments safety stock and reorder level);
- Placing POs based on stock lead times sales forecast and agreed KPIs;
- Interact with peers in Supply Chain Manufacturing Sales Finance and others to optimize systems and procedures;
- People Management.
Qualifications :
About you!
As an experienced Manager Procurement you like to take ownership. You are proactive and able to maintain contacts with different stakeholders at different levels. With your eye for detail you ensure efficient processes and accurate planning. You have a proven track record in a similar role and qualifications as:.
- BSc Business Administration Economics Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) of Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM) or from similar accrediting institutes like Nevi;
- 5 years of experience in procurement with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role;
- Experience in the product distribution of healthcare or medical products;
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices supplier negotiation and inventory management;
- Excellent leadership team management and interpersonal communication skills;
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English;
- Strong analytical and problemsolving organizational skills;
- Proficient in ERP software (SAP) and Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint);
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment with multiple priorities;
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and quality assurance in healthcarerelated products;
- Eligible to work in the Netherlands without a sponsorship.
