Purpose
To ensure the smoothrunning of the plant and transport department ensuring that health & safety and environmental concerns are prioritised in accordance with company policy.
Specific Responsibilities
- Monitoring and scheduling MOT 6weekly inspections and servicing for all vehicles.
- Maintaining and updating the internal database MID database and the insurance broker.
- Updating and maintaining the vehicle allocation sheet mileage files for driver hours log books and driver defect books.
- Coordinating and prioritising repairs with fitters.
- Ensuring all certifications are in date and that all plant is issued to site with relevant paperwork / certificates.
- Liaising with external suppliers.
- Ad hoc duties as and when required
Qualifications :
Key Skills (Essential)
- Previous Transport Manager experience
- CPC
