Job Description
Career Indaba Radio is a leading multiplatform employment and economic transformation network dedicated to driving insightful conversations on employment skills development economic trends and the future of work in Africa. We are looking for an experienced Radio Producer to develop and execute compelling content for our flagship shows. As a Career Indaba Radio Producer you will work closely with thought leaders CEOs policymakers and industry experts to create insightful highimpact programming that sparks change in the African labour market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee content production for Career Indaba Radios flagship shows including:
- Breakfast Show Daily deep dives into employment trends economic policies and leadership.
- Career Bootcamp Show Practical career advice upskilling strategies and industry insights.
- Youth Plug Focus on graduate employment entrepreneurship and youth career development.
- SME Drive Business growth strategies SME funding and enterprise development discussions.
- World of Work Show Thought leadership on the future of work digital disruption and AI.
- Research script and coordinate interviews with highprofile guests ensuring informative and engaging discussions.
- Develop thoughtprovoking topics that align with global and African labor market trends.
- Oversee production schedules content planning and editorial direction to ensure quality and consistency.
- Coordinate live and prerecorded shows ensuring smooth execution guest management and audience engagement.
- Drive audience engagement strategies through storytelling social media integration and interactive programming.
- Collaborate with the marketing and editorial teams to align radio content with digital print and podcast platforms.
- Monitor industry trends economic shifts and policy changes to keep Career Indaba Radio ahead of the curve.

- A seasoned media professional with 5 years of experience in radio production journalism business reporting or broadcasting.
