About the Role
We are excited to present a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Head Veterinary Surgeon to join a reputable and growing veterinary practice in Doncaster. As the Head Vet Surgeon you will play a crucial role in leading a team of skilled professionals providing highquality veterinary care to a loyal client base and overseeing the smooth running of the practice.
Youll work within a supportive and collaborative environment where youll have the opportunity to further develop your leadership skills and expertise. This role offers a balance of clinical work with team leadership responsibilities and the chance to make a real impact on the growth of the practice.
Location: Doncaster
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: 80000 (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the veterinary team ensuring high standards of clinical care and patient welfare.
- Oversee the daytoday running of the practice including managing workflows and liaising with support staff.
- Perform consultations diagnostics surgeries and treatments for a variety of cases with a focus on highquality care.
- Guide and mentor junior vets ensuring continuous development and upholding best practices.
- Build strong relationships with clients and ensure excellent customer service at all times.
- Manage and maintain the practices clinical standards and equipment.
- Collaborate with the practice manager on business development initiatives and performance goals.
- Stay uptodate with the latest veterinary practices and ensure continuous improvement in all aspects of the practice.
What Were Looking For
- A fully qualified Veterinary Surgeon with significant experience in a clinical setting.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Strong diagnostic surgical and clinical skills.
- Excellent communication skills both with clients and the team.
- A passion for providing exceptional care and a proactive approach to continuous learning.
- RCVS registration and eligibility to work in the UK.
