At Vivara a vibrant and independent startup in Barcelona we are on the lookout for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our incredible team. Backed by GCO Ventures Vivara is all set to transform the rental management industry and bring a wave of confidence and ease to the housing rental game.
Your role will be instrumental in shaping Vivaras unique ecosystem dexterously navigating the world of apartment hunting and making perfect matches between landlords and tenants. With a strong focus on tailoring our approach to individual needs we are determined to create a delightful rental experience for everyone and become the preferred choice in the rental market.
As a Senior Backend Engineer you will be responsible for the system build and functionality of our platform ensuring performance and scalability.
What you will work on
- Write efficient reusable and selfdocumented code
- Testing is in your mindset at any time (Units acceptance)
- Developing new features following DDD and solid principles
- Delivery is an essential part of our daily operations
- Deployment code to the live (customer) environment
- Collaborate effectively with engineers and product managers during team brainstorming sessions participate actively in the decisionmaking process and contribute to the development of architectural structures for new features

Requirements
- 47 years of experience in Backend Development with modern languages and frameworks (e.g. NestJS NodeJS TypeScript JavaScript)
- Proficient in cache systems NoSQL (Redis preferred) SQL databases and Gitbased trunk development
- Strong understanding of DDD/SOLID principles data structures and BigO notation for code complexity
- Experience with Docker cloud hosting and testing best practices
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within agile crossfunctional teams preferably in a startup environment
- Productfocused mindset identifying problems and crafting simple solutions
- Fluency in English and Spanish (both written and spoken)
