Job Description
Senior level coordinated drives staff engineer; knowledgeable in the application and workings of coordinated AC and DC drives systems including drive motors master PLCs power distribution control and harmonics of drive systems. Applicant should be able to work with drive manufacturers and driven equipment suppliers to determine drive NRL/RDC horsepowers and configure drive system solutions for the pulp & paper industry. Other duties include development of drive system architecture and interface with plant DCS/PLC control systems specification and bid evaluations for drive systems review and comment on drive manufacturer vendor drawings project schedules and comments on/assistance in producing Yates Engineers construction packages for installation of the drives; participation in Factory Acceptance Tests construction readiness reviews installation and startup support. Electrical engineering degree and Professional Engineer license a plus.
