Job Description
We are seeking a MS/Tele Float Nurse (Nursing) for a travel/contract position in NY. Accepting both local and traveler candidates.
Location: Johnson City NY 13790
Pay Rate: $68/hr
Duration: 13 weeks contract
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
Shift: 12hr Eve; 3 PM 3 AM
Your pay is based on whether you are in a local or travel position. A travel position is defined as residing more than 50 miles from the facility.
Job Summary:
Provide highquality nursing care to patients in MedicalSurgical (MS) and Telemetry (Tele) units. Float between units as needed ensuring safe and effective care delivery patient monitoring and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care to patients in MedicalSurgical and Telemetry units.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions including vital signs EKG rhythms and other telemetry data.
- Administer medications IV therapy and treatments as prescribed.
- Document patient progress accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with patients families and healthcare team members.
- Float between MS/Tele units based on staffing needs while maintaining care standards.
Qualifications:
- NY LICENSE IN HAND REQUIRED
- 2 years experience Med Surg
- BLS ACLS and NIHSS certifications (required).
- Strong adaptability and ability to float between units.
- EMR: Epic Required
