HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver

We are actively recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 HIAB Drivers with proven expertise in crane operation specifically using brickandgrab attachments to join our esteemed clients in Plymouth and its surroundings.

About the Role:

This position entails operating Class 2 vehicles equipped with split gearbox transmissions and safely operating grab cranes with a brickandgrab attachment to facilitate the delivery of building materials to various locations including private residences and new developments.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving Class 2 vehicles safely transporting builders materials while ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.

Safely operating the HIAB crane with brickandgrab attachment to load and unload materials at various sites including private residences and new developments.

Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and team members.

Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.

Requirements:

Possession of a valid HGV Class 2 license (Category C) with no more than 6 points

Uptodate CPC & Digital Tachograph Card

Proven experience in operating HIAB cranes specifically with brickandgrab attachments.

Up to date HIAB Certificate is required Brick / Grab Attachment Essential

You must be able to operate the remote crane on delivery/collection.

Proficiency in driving vehicles equipped with a split gearbox.

Strong commitment to safety and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.

Previous experience completing deliveries

No major traffic offences No DR DD TT99 or NI codes accepted

Compliance with legislation Maintaining an accurate record of break times according to WTD regulations (drivers hours highway regulations)

Adhering to both agencys and clients regulations and procedures

Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered

Working hours:

Flexibility to work Monday to Friday with potential for overtime as and when required.

Start times vary

Weekend availability required

Pay rates:

Competitive hourly rate ranging from 17 to 22 commensurate with experience.
