Job Description
Thompson Pipe Group is currently looking for a Water Truck Operator.
Hourly Rate: $17.00/HR
Scheduled Shift: 9:00a.m. 5:00p.m.

Overview:
Dispersal of water onto job site vegetation as needed. Additional responsibilities include maintaining roadways and loading areas for designated business unit.
Essential Functions:
- Operates the water truck
- Performs daily preshift inspections on equipment
- Performs preventative maintenance on service mobile equipment. Reports needed repairs to Yard Supervisor.
- Follows safety rules regulations and procedures.
- Demonstrates a positive upbeat attitude and energy level toward teammates.
- Assist with equipment and plant repairs maintenance and housekeeping as needed
- Other duties as requested by management
Required Education and Experience:
- Current Drivers License
- Must be able to drive standard transmission(stick shift)
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred
- 1 2 years heavy equipment operating experience preferred
- Must be able to perform basic math.
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
- Will work in varied outdoor environments (in all weather conditions heat cold wet humid dry and/or dusty conditions).
- Exposure to cement and other raw materials.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move products and supplies up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to read write and verbally communicate in the English language (Bilingual a plus)
- Must be able to wear a hard hat safety glasses steeltoed boots and hearing protection
- Must be able to sit and operate equipment for long periods up to 10 hours per day
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a fulltime position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. OT will be required as needed. Scheduled shift hours are subject to change to meet business needs. This position occasionally requires weekend work.
