As our next Commis Chef you
Are curious about food always willing to try new combinations and flavours.
Assist in the preparation of the dishes in a timely fashion and agreed standards.
Ensure the availability of miseenplace as required.
Observe excellent food hygiene practice through the entire food chain from storage through to preparation and service.
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

Qualifications :
Skills & Experience
- Having completed and apprenticeship and/or achieved trade recognition a Commis Chef works as part of the kitchen team. Engaged in cooking baking pastry cooking or butchering duties
- Passion for great food and customer focused
- Cool and calm under pressure
- Strong team player with the ability to fit into a tightknit team
- Prior experience in a similar position
- Experience developing and motivating people to achieve their best
Additional Information :
You will be responsible to :
- Provide efficient friendly and professional service to all guests.
- Lead by example when attending to guest requests. Show efficiency in constantly striving to provide Total Customer Satisfaction.
- Take initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers (internal or external) are positive and productive call the Manager on Duty if difficulties arise.
- Work together with trust so that colleagues and management meet the goals of the department/Hotel.
- Treat customers and colleagues from all cultural groups with respect sensitivity and transparency.
- Take every opportunity to be a salesperson by active selling of special promotions and facilities available within the Hotel.
- Implement the Accor values and Accor customer vision to Offer the Best Service to Our Customers.
- Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair within the cost margins specified by the hotel.
- Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage. Have stock control procedures implemented and maintained.
- Order necessary foods according to proposed business demands. Consult with Executive Chef for guidance and authorisation of order.
- Liaise with Restaurant employees regarding the availability of menu items additions to the menu and any relevant changes.
- Work with and coordinate the work of apprentices in the preparation and production of food as required.
- Prepare and ensures availability of mis en place as required.
- Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Ensure all equipment is maintained serviced and cleaned. Report any problems to the Executive Chef.
- Assist and liaise with chef on duty as required.
