As a Management Accountant youll be part of the team at Pizza Base supporting the mission to make people happier one pizza at a time.
ABOUT US
In 2012 founders Thom & James decided to quit their jobs and fly to Naples pick up a threewheel Piaggio Ape van and drive the 4500km back to London learning all they could about the true art of pizza making.
In 2023 they built an even more ridiculous pizza wagon THE PIZZA VESPA and took part in a 10day trip visiting the icons of the Napoli pizza scene as well as suppliers and friends they have made since the original pilgrimage.

THE ROLE
Were looking for a partqualified Management Accountant focusing on managing the monthend process and ensuring financial accuracy. Youll work alongside the Financial Controller an experienced Data Analyst and oversee one Financial Assistant to ensure our processes run smoothly.

As a Management Accountant youll be responsible for the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts and financial reporting. Youll manage the 4.4.5 accounting process (accrualbased) and oversee key reconciliations. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting strategic decisionmaking.
Key Responsibilities
- Management Accounts: Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts including variance analysis and commentary.
- MonthEnd Processes: Manage the monthend close process including accruals prepayments and reconciliations.
- YearEnd Processes: Support the Financial Controller with yearend accounts audit preparation and statutory reporting.
- Team Support: Work closely with the Financial Assistant in transactional processes ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Reporting Accuracy: Produce detailed reports for the business that are accurate and reliable.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to financial processes to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Budget Support: Provide input to the Financial Controller for budgeting and forecasting activities.
WhoWere Looking For
- Qualifications: ACCA/CIMA partqualified (or equivalent).
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of accrualbased accounting and ideally 4.4.5 processes.
- Experience: Proven experience in preparing management accounts and monthend processes.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organisational skills with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Problem Solver: Logical and methodical thinker with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Self motivator: Possesses a strong sense of ownership actively identifying areas for analysis or improvement and taking action without needing direct supervision.
- Systems Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (e.g. Sage Xero or similar).
