Maintenance 2 (Painter)
You will play a key role in maintaining the aesthetic and structural integrity of our property. What you will be doing:
- Providing professional friendly and engaging service
- Painting interior and exterior areas of the hotel using brushes rollers spray guns or other applicators
- Preparing surfaces for painting by washing sing sanding or sandblasting
- Cutting in freehand or with tape spot priming and rolling walls
- Caulking filling sanding trim; patching drywall; and rolling walls and trim
- Mixing and matching paints enamels lacquers stains and special protective coatings
- Identifying and repairing deficiencies in drywall millwork appliances fixtures flooring and windows
- Assisting with preventative maintenance tasks and repairs
- Maintaining an organized inventory of painting materials and supplies
- Prioritizing tasks and working efficiently
- Supporting Health & Safety standards and environmental sustainability programs
- Collaborating with the Chief Engineer and team on projects and renovations
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role we ask that you have:
- A minimum of 23 years of professional painting experience including wallpapering drywall patching and repairs
- A Journeyman or equivalent Trade Qualification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Outlook Excel) and industryrelated software
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- A high level of responsibility reliability and selfmotivation
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various conditions while maintaining a professional appearance
- Experience working with ladders (8 to 32 feet) both indoors and outdoors
- The ability to lead by example and maintain high performance standards
- Flexibility to work weekends evenings overnight shifts rotating schedules and be available for emergency situations
The physical job requirements include:
- Constant standing and walking during the shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Frequent kneeling bending and pushing/pulling
- Occasional use of ladders stairs and ramps
