Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented Surgical/Operating Room Tech to provide critical support in surgical procedures. This role involves preparing the operating room assisting surgeons during operations and ensuring that the highest standards of sterile techniques are maintained. You will work alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals in a fastpaced and challenging environment where every day presents a new opportunity to enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: This list highlights primary duties but is not exhaustive.
Operating Room Preparation: Ensure the operating room is ready for surgery including the sterilization of instruments setup of equipment and preparation of sterile field.
Assist During Surgical Procedures: Provide handson assistance to surgeons and surgical staff by passing instruments holding retractors and helping with patient positioning.
Equipment Sterilization and Maintenance: Responsible for the cleaning sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
Inventory Management: Keep track of surgical supplies and instruments ensuring that everything is properly stocked and ready for use.
Compliance with Safety Standards: Adhere to all hospital safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff.
Requirements:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist.
Previous experience of at least 2 years in an operating room setting preferred.
Strong understanding of sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced certification in areas such as CST or TSC.
Experience with various surgical specialties (e.g. orthopedics general surgery).
