Job Description
Randstad is seeking a highly skilled Java Cloud Engineer AWS to join our clients dynamic team in Washington DC. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java development cloudbased applications and microservices architecture. This role requires proficiency in various J2EE technologies cloud services and DevOps tools to design develop and maintain scalable applications in an agile environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver highquality solutions that meet business requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain cloudnative applications using Java Spring Boot and AWS services such as Lambda Kinesis DynamoDB and Redshift.
- Implement and support web services including SOAP and RESTful APIs ensuring seamless integration with enterprise applications.
- Apply objectoriented design patterns to develop scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as Oracle SQL and Aurora optimizing queries for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions following Agile Scrum and TestDriven Development (TDD) methodologies.
- Utilize DevOps tools including Git/Bitbucket Jenkins Ansible and AWS CodeCommit/Build/Deploy for continuous integration and deployment.
- Develop and maintain frontend components using JavaScript frameworks JSP and HTML while ensuring adherence to security best practices such as JAAS and rolebased security models.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices implementing encryption techniques and security protocols to protect data integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud applications web services and messaging systems such as MQ and JMS.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers while staying uptodate with emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing and Java development.
